Hello Jacksonville

For years I’ve wanted to live near Disneyworld so I could spend all my free time there. So it completely makes sense that as soon as I moved down to live near Disneyworld that I would spend my first day off work driving up to Jacksonville to visit the boyfriend instead of at the parks, but that’s exactly what happened!

I drove down Sunday night, but the real fun came Monday!

Which began with my boyfriend getting up early to surprise me by making breakfast. 1..2..3.. awwww.

After breakfast, we went on a bike ride with Brennen’s sisters. We rode a tandem bike. I used to think they were romantic. Now I know they are mildly terrifying, but it was still a good time!

Then that afternoon we hit the beach!

Ah Florida, so nice.

We splashed around and then I collected seashells while Brennen found shark teeth.IMG_3889

Sadly all vacations must come to an end, but I put the shells and teeth in a jar in my vaguely ocean themed bathroom. According to Brennen all real Floridians have jars with shells and shark teeth.

It’s still pretty empty but I guess that just means I’ll have to go back to the beach sometime.

I feel so lucky. I mean, I have my dream job and I live close enough that at the drop of a hat I can take day vacations to the beach. A hundred points to Florida.
