Actually technically it’s now USQ Nationals Cup or something like that, but let’s be honest, it’s World Cup.
I’m writing to avoid thinking about the tragedy that has befallen me: my phone took a swim and is probably done. After six years it’s probably time, but I’m so frustrated with myself for not backing up all my photos.
And here I said I was writing a post to avoid thinking about it. Anyway, World Cup! It was this past weekend and my fifth year going. I played on my school’s team for years and then went last year and this year to cheer on friends.
My boyfriend was playing on a team – the NY Warriors.
They made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen this year! It was very exciting. And they upset the bracket play by beating the 4th seed (they were 29th).
I didn’t mind the tight pants, but the black mouth guard made him look like he was missing all his teeth.
I also got to take lots of photos – one of my favorite things!
It’s crazy to see how much the sport has changed during the 5 years I’ve been a part of it. Hard to believe that the sport has been around for 10 years now!
My poster from Sophomore year made the Quidditch Turns Ten exhibit!
Also exciting – QCB won this year! Not only did it stop the reign of Texas but two Richmond alumni were playing on the team! I was so proud.
Stay magical readers!
